Los Angeles Fabrics™ microfiber suede passes the following flammability tests without additional flame retardant (FR) treatment. This ensures superior safety while maintaining the natural breathability and premium feel of the material.

Flammability Test Standards

Los Angeles Fabrics™ has been tested and certified to meet or exceed the following industry-standard flammability tests:

California Technical Bulletin 117 (Cal TB 117) California's flammability standard for upholstered furniture and seating. This test measures the ignition resistance of materials used in furniture filling and covering materials. Los Angeles Fabrics™ meets these requirements for both residential and commercial applications.
UFAC Class I (Upholstered Furniture Action Council) Industry voluntary action program designed to reduce ignition of upholstered furniture from smoldering cigarettes. Class I is the highest classification, indicating superior resistance to cigarette ignition.
NFPA 260 (National Fire Protection Association) Standard method of test for cigarette ignition resistance of components of upholstered furniture. This test evaluates how materials perform when exposed to smoldering cigarette ignition sources.
